My Oulu: The Nallikari Winter Village opened again – the new main building is finished

The wintery theme park in Nallikari, the Winter Village, opened again on Saturday, February 10. On top of the new restaurant, Huvilinna, you will find familiar activities in the village, such as a snow labyrinth, reindeer sled rides, tube hills, mini quad bikes, tube carousel and the Hoijakka sled.
When the frost bites your cheeks a little too much, you will find the familiar rides from the summery Vauhtipuisto inside the Karuselli café, such as the Hupsut Kupit (Silly Cups) and the Taikakaruselli (Magic Carousel). In connection with the Winter Village opening, the opening of the new, 500 m² restaurant Huvilinna was also celebrated.
The new restaurant / multi-purpose space is open when the Winter Village and Vauhtipuisto are open. In other times, it will serve as a private restaurant that can accommodate over 200 people.

The Winter Village’s Village Manager Kalle Komulainen is happy with the new services in the area.
“The last few years have been busy with construction. The Karuselli Café served customers for the first time last year in the Winter Village. The café was welcomed with smiles together with its Taikakaruselli ride. This year, we have finally managed to finish the new main building”, he states.
The Winter Village and the Huvilinna restaurant want to be known for serving businesses as well, for example as the venue for recreational work events.
“It has been great to witness how different associations and businesses have already found our services. The Winter Village surroundings with their activities together with the Huvilinna premises and food services have brought up a lot of interest. For example, business summer parties have found their way to us already”, states Komulainen.
The Winter Village is open on Saturdays and Sundays 11.00-16.00 starting from February 10 until March 31. Additionally, the Village will be open every day during Week 10.
